Dear Pastor,
I've been singing gospel music for the past 27 years…18 of those with the
Melody Boys Quartet of Little Rock, Arkansas. What a great adventure it
has been to travel and sing professionally about a risen Savior as part
of a quartet. I've been privileged to sing the gospel in 38 states across
our great nation, as well as Canada; in venues like the National Quartet
Convention, the Grand Ole Gospel Reunion, Gaither Homecomings, fairs,
auditoriums and churches of every size and denomination. The Lord has
truly fulfilled the desires of my heart.
You never know what God has in store for you. For two years I had felt
the pull on my heart to leave something that I dearly loved without knowing
what door I'd be walking through. I knew He wanted me to leave but not
what He wanted me to do after that. Finally, in relief and release of
faith in January of 2005, I resigned from the quartet. Six weeks later,
in that same faith, I stepped through the door He opened…to remain in
gospel music…now as a soloist.
In a 27-year span, life happens to you…ready or not. Today I find myself
a husband of 30 years; not only a father, but also a father-in-law, and a
grandfather of three…life really is just a vapor! I now attempt to share
in my music program many of the life lessons we all must learn and come to
grips with, but the central truth of my presentation is this…You can have a
lifetime of love. We live in a world where not only the unsaved need to
hear this, it serves as a reminder for the struggling Christian.
My presentation is flexible to many variables…a church service, a church
or class function, a men's conference, retreat or revival. I ask you to
allow me to present my program to your church. It will fit comfortably
within in a 45-60 minute window. My music reaches across many styles and
appeals to all ages.
I ask for a love offering and travel expenses. I'm excited about where
this ministry will lead and what God will accomplish through it. Please
take a moment to visit my website and prayerfully consider my request.
Faithfully,
Mike Franklin
